Inside a nondescript business building in Bengaluru’s leafy tech precinct, Indian students carrying backpacks and Stanley cups mingle tentatively with their new classmates as they wait for the introduction to the next three years of their lives to begin.
They’ve travelled to the southern Indian city from Delhi, Hyderabad, Gujarat and beyond, with giddy parents, siblings and even cousins in tow. Most arrived well before the orientation’s scheduled start time, and a sense of anticipation pervades the newly renovated campus – a circuit of former corporate offices decked out with whiteboards and bleached timber desks that could be anywhere in the world.
